Court of Appeal denied home arrest for Gezal Bayramli
Baku / 15.11.17 / Turan: The Baku Court of Appeals on Wednesday rejected the complaint of the deputy chairman of the Popular front party Gezal Bayramli about transferring her to house arrest.
"The Court of Appeal dismissed the complaint against the decision of the Nasimi court," Zibaeda Sadigova's lawyer said. According to her, Bayramli is for the third time refused to be transferred to house arrest even in spite of serious health problems. The defense intends to file a complaint with the European Court of Human Rights.
** Bayramli was detained on May 25 on his return from Georgia. She was planted 12000 dollars and filed a lawsuit under the Article 206.1 (smuggling). It is recognized by human rights organizations as a political prisoner. -05C06--

On April 16, Samir Ramazanov, a TikToker known under the pseudonym Semka, was detained in Baku, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported. By a court decision, S. Ramazanov was arrested for 30 days in an administrative order. The day before, Sadig Mirzoyev, the father of 9-year-old TikToker Adam, was also arrested for 30 days. They are residents of the Agjabedi region of Azerbaijan.
