The unity of the people and power in the country, the view on the EU and European integration, and the small number of investments in the regions are the leading topics of today's press.

The newspaper Azerbaijan writes that the priority of the state is the social protection of citizens and the improvement of their living conditions. The author speaks about reforms serving democratization and political-economic liberalization.

The article says that Azerbaijan occupies the 78th place among 187 countries on the UN Human Development Index.

The newspaper Echo published an article about the fact that Azerbaijani investors invest in the development of regions of other countries, and not in the regions of their own country.

If you look at the structure of investment in Baku, then the share of foreign investment covers only the energy sector.

As for the non-oil sector, the situation here is completely different. Investors need a transparent approach, while local authorities in the regions behave like lords who do not recognize a single law.

There are dozens of facts proving that local authorities exert pressure on investors and entrepreneurs. All this negatively affects the investment attractiveness of the regions.

The website Azadliq.info writes that the flight of Baku from the European Union is fraught with danger. Commenting on the statement of the deputy Samad Seyidov that "Azerbaijan is not an advocate of integration into the EU," the author of the article calls it an indicator of irresponsibility and sees in this statement a serious danger for the future of Azerbaijan.
