Human rights defenders urged the head of state to release prisoners whose cases have an international character
Baku / 07.12.17 / Turan: A group of human rights defenders of Azerbaijan appealed to the President of the country Ilham Aliyev with a request to release those prisoners whose cases are the subject of discussions of official Baku and international structures. "In the field of human rights, there are problems awaiting resolution, and we consider it our duty to draw your attention to this," the appeal says, without specifying the names. The authors of the letter express hope that on the eve of the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis celebrated on December 31, the head of state will issue a decree on pardon.
The appeal was signed by Novella Jafaroglu, Saida Gojamanli, Arzu Abdullaeva, Saadat Bananyarly, Mirvari Gahramanly, Avaz Hasanov and Zalikh Tagirov. -06D--
