Search for Missing Climbers Has Not Yet Yielded Results
Baku / 28.12.17 / Turan: The search for the climbers that have been lost in the Guba region since December 23 has not yielded results yet.
Members of the sports club of air and extreme sports Gilavar Farida Jabrailzadeh, Babur Huseynov and Namin Bunyadzadeh departed from the Khynalyg village of the Guba region to climb Mount Tufandag on December 23.
The search works began only three days after the information on the disappearance of the climbers was received by the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES). The search involves the MES aviation team"s helicopters MI-17, a search and rescue group of the MES North Regional Center, a mountain rescue team of the MES Emergency Rescue Service, as well as a detachment of volunteer climbers, the MES reports.
At the same time, expressing the attitude to calls from social networks on the Internet for the formation of voluntary search groups, the MES warns of the danger of directing people who have not undergone special training to high-altitude territories in difficult weather conditions, without adequate equipment and communication facilities. -16D-
