Baku / 28.12.17 / Turan: The National Television and Radio Council (NTRC) of Azerbaijan announced the provision of an unlimited license for nationwide broadcasting on the 31st frequency of Turkel TV LLC, reads the message of the NTRS. On 14 November the NTRC announced a contest for the broadcasting of a specialized news channel on the 31st frequency. Besides "Turkel TV" LLC, "BAKU ART LAB" LLC and "MEDİA MASTER" LLC are also participating in the competition. According to the NTRC, LLC "Turkel TV" presented "a better creative plan, has a more reasonable material and technical base and has professional human resources". "Turkel TV" has been broadcasting since 2010 in the western regions of Azerbaijan. The channel operates under the patronage of SOCAR. The general director of the TV channel is Nadir Shafiyev, who in the past worked on state television and the private channel "Sara TV". It was also decided to transfer from January 1, 2018 the state-owned TV channels AzTV and Culture TV in Baku and Absheron to a higher-quality digital broadcasting format - HD. The Business Continuity test of Azercell's CMG project was conducted in the Alat Free Economic Zone. A real-time Business Continuity test of the CMG – Crisis Management Group of Azercell, which is a leading mobile operator in the country, was conducted in the Alat Free Economic Zone. For implementation of the first tests Azercell was partnering with Azercosmos, Aztelekom, and Baktelecom. During the simulation, a crisis was created by completely cutting off communication in the designated area. Technical teams from the regions arrived at the scene during the crisis drill, initiating efforts to restore communication. Initially, groups installed two mobile Base Stations in the area, providing 2G service to a limited number of subscribers using facilities of the national satellite. In the next stage, high-speed internet, 3G, and 4G networks were restored, and the area was equipped with 100-megabit Wi-Fi service. It's worth noting that in comparison to previous tests, the recovery time was reduced by half in this simulation test. All mentioned recovery operations were carried out by teams from the regions and the groups of experts specially trained by Azercell.
