NGOs regarded the decision of the OGP to be constructive
Baku / 30.06.17 / Turan: The Open Government Platform (POG), presented by a number of Azerbaijani NGOs, called constructive the decision of the of the steering committee of the Open Government Partnership (Open Government Partnership), and preserved for another year "inactive status" of Azerbaijan.
This decision was made on June 29 in Washington due to the continuing bad conditions for the activities of non-governmental organizations in Azerbaijan.
The OGP decision is a success for both the government and non-governmental organizations of Azerbaijan, said the OGP coordinator AlimammadNuriyev.
In his opinion, such a statement of the issue creates conditions for removing obstacles to the development of civil society institutions. We recognize the existence of problems and speak about this to the government openly,Nuriyev said. There is a need to remove obstacles to obtaining grants from foreign donors in Azerbaijan and the government understand this.-0-
