Baku/07.07.17/Turan: On 7 July a journalist Islam Shihali was interrogated for two hours in the Investigatory Directorate of Serious Crimes of the Prosecutor General's Office. After the interrogation Shikhali said that he was asked questions about the activities of the arrested journalist Afgan Mukhtarly, the Internet resource "Meydan" TV and the head of this structure - Emin Milli.
He was also asked about political writer Gunel Movlud and a composer Elmira Mirzoyeva.
Earlier in the case of Mukhtarly were interrogated: Isolda Agayeva, Sevinj Vagifgizi, Aytaj Akhmedova, Khadija Ismail, Natig Javadli, former and current leaders of the Musavat Party Isa Gambar and Arif Hajili, and others.
Lawyer Elchin Sadigov reported on combining criminal cases of Afgan Mukhtarly with the case of "Meydan" TV.
The investigation is trying to accuse Mukhtarly of playing the role of an intermediary in the transfer of money by Western organizations to opposition media in Azerbaijan. The interrogations of the above-mentioned journalists are aimed at finding evidence of such activity, observers say. -05B-

On April 16, Samir Ramazanov, a TikToker known under the pseudonym Semka, was detained in Baku, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported. By a court decision, S. Ramazanov was arrested for 30 days in an administrative order. The day before, Sadig Mirzoyev, the father of 9-year-old TikToker Adam, was also arrested for 30 days. They are residents of the Agjabedi region of Azerbaijan.
