Baku/07.29.17/Turan: Doctors diagnosed the imprisoned journalist Afgan Mukhtarly with gastritis in the Baku prison.
Azadlig Radio was informed by his lawyer Zibeyda Sadigova who met with her client in the Baku Detention Center on July 28. Mukhtarly also has a heart problem - the heart rate is higher than normal, the lawyer said, adding that he seriously lost weight - 21 kg.
According to the lawyer, the doctors prescribed Mukhtarly drugs without taking any steps to provide the journalist with them. The lawyer also said the ban on telephone calls by Mukhtarly is still in force, and he cannot even talk with his wife and sister.
Mukhtarly was kidnapped in Tbilisi on May 29 and handed over to the authorities of Azerbaijan. The journalist was accused of illegally crossing the border, smuggling and using violence against a border guard. -0-

On April 16, Samir Ramazanov, a TikToker known under the pseudonym Semka, was detained in Baku, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported. By a court decision, S. They are residents of the Agjabedi region of Azerbaijan.
