Afgan Mukhtarly again is not allowedto meet with relatives
Baku / 04.08.17 / Turan: The Azerbaijani Penitentiary Service continues to violate the rights of Afgan Mukhtarly for visits to the pre-trial detention center with his relatives. So, the youth activist Samir Asadli was again not allowed to meet with the journalist in the pre-trial detention center on August 4. The Mukhtarly family gave Assadli the power of attorney to meet with him. However, the leadership of the Kurdakhan jail does not allow it, according to Asadli himself.
In his turn, lawyer Elchin Sadigov said that the day before the leadership of the pre-trial detention center assured him that there would not be an obstacle to meeting of Mukhtarly with relatives.
Earlier, the defense appealed to the Sabunchu court with a complaint about violation of journalist's rights to meet with relatives. The court did not accept the complaint in the proceedings. This decision was appealed.
* Mukhtarli was abducted on May 29 in Tbilisi and sent to Azerbaijan, where he was charged with illegal crossing of police, smuggling, using violence against the border guard. He rejected the accusations. Amnesty International recognized him as a "prisoner of conscience". -05B06-

The Business Continuity test of Azercell's CMG project was conducted in the Alat Free Economic Zone. A real-time Business Continuity test of the CMG – Crisis Management Group of Azercell, which is a leading mobile operator in the country, was conducted in the Alat Free Economic Zone. For implementation of the first tests Azercell was partnering with Azercosmos, Aztelekom, and Baktelecom. During the simulation, a crisis was created by completely cutting off communication in the designated area. Technical teams from the regions arrived at the scene during the crisis drill, initiating efforts to restore communication. Initially, groups installed two mobile Base Stations in the area, providing 2G service to a limited number of subscribers using facilities of the national satellite. In the next stage, high-speed internet, 3G, and 4G networks were restored, and the area was equipped with 100-megabit Wi-Fi service. It's worth noting that in comparison to previous tests, the recovery time was reduced by half in this simulation test. All mentioned recovery operations were carried out by teams from the regions and the groups of experts specially trained by Azercell.
