A different view of the holding of the Formula-1 competitions and the decline of small and medium-sized businesses are the leading topics of today's press.
The newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the competitions Formula-1 held in Baku. The author notes that President Ilham Aliyev watched the opening of the competition and the finals, got acquainted with the racing management center, and also gave an interview to the television channel Fox Sport.
The article notes that 13 of the 30 pilots came to the finish, and the finals consisted of 51 laps. The race was won by a member of the team Mercedes Briton Luis Hamilton. The Grand Prix Cup was handed to him by President Ilham Aliyev. The holding of these competitions in Baku increases the international and sporting image of Azerbaijan, the article noted.

The head of the organizing committee for holding races Arif Rahimov (the son of the Minister of Sport Azad Rahimov) noted that the costs of the competitions are great, so the Azerbaijani side wants to reduce payments, which is one of the conditions of the financial part of the agreement.
The Azerbaijani side would like the competitions to be held in Baku further. However, the costs here exceed the necessary funds. For this reason, the parties want to agree and come to a common denominator.

The Russian Economic School functioning at the Azerbaijan State Economic University (UNEC) hosted a scientific and practical conference on Corporate Business in Emerging Economies. It was noted that, developing only small and medium business, it is not possible to achieve very high results, if cooperation with big business is not established. From small businesses it is possible to build a large economy, that is, in Azerbaijan, small and medium-sized business can become a locomotive of economic development in the future. At present, a bill is being discussed in the parliament, according to which one more concept will appear in the ranks of small, medium and large business - the micro business.
Today, small and medium-sized businesses in Azerbaijan are dying. The most acute problem is the lack of transparency in the economy. In addition, the tax policy requires reform. It is because of these problems that quite a large number of entrepreneurs have left the country.
