Pashinyan to Visit Karabakh First
Yerevan / 08.05.18 / Turan: The newly elected Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan intends to visit Nagorno-Karabakh on May 9. He stated this in an interview with journalists immediately after his election to parliament. He did not disclose the purposes of the visit, but made it clear that he would take part in the events of the anniversary of the occupation of the city of Shusha by Armenians.
Earlier, speaking to the parliamentarians, Pashinyan said Armenia is ready to negotiate with Azerbaijan again, provided that Karabakh also takes part in the talks. "We are ready for negotiations with the leader of Azerbaijan. But I want to note that the talks cannot be considered effective unless the leadership of Artsakh participates in them, as stipulated in the documents of the OSCE Minsk Group mediating in the negotiations," he said. -02D-
