Ali Hasanov Happy - 99% of NGOs Work for Authorities
Baku / 23.06.18 / Turan: The Azerbaijani authorities consider that non-governmental organizations should work for them. They are very pleased that 99% of NGOs have achieved this goal.
Such a conclusion follows from the speech of the main ideologist of the authorities Ali Hasanov at the event dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Council of State Support for NGOs.
Faithful to his tradition of telling fairy tales, Hasanov said, since 1995 all elections in the country have passed freely and transparently, independent media have been set up, and the activities of NGOs are free and transparent.
According to him, over 10 years, NGOs received AZN 36 million within 4,500 projects, in which 15,000 people were involved.
Speaking about civil society, Hasanov called them fighters for the interests of the country, which "no less than officials confront an external threat."
He further accused some of the NGOs that "have come under the influence of foreign circles and have been used against the state and statehood of Azerbaijan. However, 99% of NGOs propagandize statehood," Hasanov said.
Thus, Hasanov actually admitted that all the NGOs operating in the country are pro-government (GONGO), which fundamentally contradicts the very principle of civil society, which in principle should be independent and act as an alternative opinion in the society.
Ali Hasanov also acknowledged that all alternative opinions in the country are recognized as hostile and initiated by foreign circles through the efforts of the authorities. On such a concept, the government's policy of suppressing rights and freedoms is built, which is justified by the struggle with the enemies of statehood.
At the same time, Hasanov "forgot" to report that a significant part of the media receiving grants from the authorities is media close to his family and relatives. -02D-
