Artists to Hold Charity Exhibition to Help Orphans

Baku / 16.10.19 / Turan: The Azerbaijani artist Milena Nagiyeva agreed with about forty colleagues in the country to hold a charity exhibition of paintings on December 31, the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis. The money collected from the sale of works will be transferred to the accounts of orphanages in Azerbaijan, Rafail Aliyev, a participant in the action, told Turan.

A charity exhibition is planned at the Museum of Modern Art. Among the artists who agreed to participate in the exhibition, there are young, beginners, as well as venerable folk artists. Each will provide one or two of his paintings in different formats, not united by one topic. Work will cost from 700 to 1,000 manat.

Art workers hope with this action to distract the population from momentary problems and remind society about the need for universal care for orphans, R. Aliyev emphasized.
