The regime is preparing for suicide - Ali Insanov

Baku /16.10.19 / Turan: Ex-Minister of Health Ali Insanov said that the work to create a new party on his initiative has almost completed.

"We have almost completed meetings and discussions on the creation of a new party and are ready to announce its creation. But, there is one problem: the organization must have a headquarters, but the government prevents this. We cannot even rent the premises," Insanov said in an interview with the Voice of America Azerbaijani service.

According to him, the party will be in opposition to the authorities and ready to cooperate with all opposition forces.

Commenting on the opinion that the authorities are afraid of the consolidation of immigrants from Western Azerbaijan (Armenia) around Insanov, he said that he considers this "natural".

"This community is very large and politicized, lives in all cities and regions of Azerbaijan. There are more than 3 million of them. The first deportations, as you know, started back in 1828 after the Turkmenchay Treaty, and after that several times a large number of Azerbaijanis were transferred from Armenia to Azerbaijan.

This community is extremely courageous and ready to fight. It is no coincidence that at one time there was a saying that "Without the support of Western Azerbaijanis, no one in Azerbaijan will be able to come to power, and if he does, he will not be able to hold on. Therefore, the authorities have reason to be afraid," Insanov said.

"However, this does not mean that our organization will consist only of immigrants from Armenia," Insanov said.

The new party will fight primarily for creating an atmosphere of democratic elections in the country and participation in them. "We are against a violent seizure of power and are prepared by constitutional means to participate in free elections within the framework of the law," the ex-minister said.

"Today Azerbaijan is governed not by politics, but by whims, and therefore not a single problem is solved," Insanov said.

He considers it necessary to develop a "Strategy for the historical development of Azerbaijan." Justice must be reigned in the country and human rights guaranteed.

In his opinion, education should be free. In healthcare, insurance medicine should be introduced. People should not be left without treatment due to the high cost of medicine.

Salaries and pensions should be increased. Monopolies and corruption are eliminated.

The authorities do not have a strategy to resolve the Karabakh conflict and the authorities lack the determination and courage to resolve the conflict, Insanov said.

Pashinyan"s statement that Nagorno-Karabakh is Armenia has actually become a point in the coup process. On the other hand, this statement justifies measures for the liberation of land by military force. "That takes courage," he said.

Touching on the domestic political situation, Insanov said: "According to rumors, Ilham Aliyev wants to leave the government. This is good and I think that he is still late with this. Who will come to power is not yet clear. However, the new leader must resolve two serious issues: the Karabakh conflict and economic problems.

Members of the ruling team created a business empire at home and abroad. The new leader will have to break this system. If Ilham Aliyev leaving will hold democratic early elections, he would substantially rehabilitate himself.

"However, I"ve come to the conclusion that the regime that is not elected by the people who govern the country is preparing for suicide. I would advise that no one bothers them," said Insanov.

The new party, he said, will take the initiative to create an advisory Mejlis of opposition forces. For example, he congratulated the head of the Musavat party Arif Hajili on his re-election to this post. -03D06-
