Baku /21.10.19 / Turan: On October 21, the Presidium of the Bar Association of Azerbaijan, having examined the appeal of the Penitentiary Service, issued a warning to the lawyer Neymat Karimli.
This was reported to Turan in the Bar Association.
But disciplinary proceedings against Karimli have not begun.
On September 20, Karimli said that in Prison No. 16, while visiting the journalist Afgan Mukhtarly, he was subjected to physical pressure and a search by the staff of the institution.
On September 24, the Prison Service, saying that Karimli was deliberately trying to form a negative public opinion about this agency in violation of the Regulation on the Rules of Conduct for Lawyers, complained to the Bar Association. -021C-
