By the year 2026, Azerbaijan plans to increase the annual volume of gas exports to Europe by 17% from 2023 to 14 bcm, SOCAR Deputy Vice President Vitaly Beglyarbekov stated in an interview with the European edition of “Montel News” in Budapest.

Today, “Azerigaz” (the gas distribution structure of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) temporarily turned off natural gas in 41 settlements of the Imishli region. According to the gas ministry, gas supply will also be stopped in 11 settlements in the Bilasuvar region and in one settlement in the Saatli region. It is planned to install one ball valve with a diameter of 300 mm on the main high-pressure gas pipeline with a diameter of 325 mm, through which natural gas is supplied to the Imishli gas pumping station. In addition, it is planned to install one non-return valve, as well as a connecting line with a diameter of 159 mm.

The 110/35/10 kV Hajialili electric substation of the “Azerishig” Open Joint Stock Company which President Ilham Aliyev opened on April 9 in the Gabala region, will provide electricity to 22 villages, the airport, railway station and irrigation systems of the region, the head of the Gabala electric grid, Elvin Bayramzade said.

“Azerishig” OJSC (Azerbaijan's state monopoly on electricity distribution) continues work on the reconstruction of the Kalbajar region electric utility, which is located in the highlands of the country. According to “Azerishig,” the work is being conducted with consideration of the difficult geographical terrain. It is reported that laying power transmission lines up to 35 kW has already begun.
