Baku / 18.02.19 / Turan: Armenia plans to get four Russian Su-30CM fighter jets at the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020, and Yerevan would like to buy 12 such vehicles, Armenian Defense Minister David told RIA Novosti on Monday at the arms exhibition in Abu Dhabi Tonoyan.
"We continue negotiations on the supply of the next batch of Su-30SM. everything will depend on how quickly this product can be ready.
We are planning to get the first batch this year, at the very least - at the beginning of the next one," he said.
Answering the question how many such planes Armenia wants to buy, Tonoyan noted that we are talking about one squadron (12 planes).
Tonoyan did not say the price for these planes, and with what funds Armenia intends to pay the cost of 12 combat vehicles of this type, the market value of which ranges from 300 to 400 million dollars. -02D-
