REAL will submit to parliament three bills supported by 40,000 voters
Baku / 18.02.19 / Turan: The Republican Alternative Party (REAL) will submit three bills to parliament - on reimbursing citizens, banks and enterprises for damages caused by the devaluation of the manat, transferring higher education to free education in the coming years Baku electoral office mayor.
The campaign to collect the required 40 thousand signatures of voters to implement the legislative initiative on these issues will be completed on February 24.
In the last week of February, these bills, along with other supporting documents, will be forwarded by the Party Secretariat on legal issues and elections to the Milli Majlis.
Article 96 of the Constitution of Azerbaijan (the right to legislative initiative) provides for the submission to the parliament for consideration and voting of draft laws and resolutions, supported by 40,000 voters.
The party believes that the state should help citizens and banks to resolve the issue of problem loans, since it is responsible for the sharp devaluation of the manat.
In addition, the status of a welfare state, noted in the Constitution, implies the creation of equal opportunities for young people to receive higher education.
Baku remains the only capital of the Council of Europe, which does not have its own municipality and elected mayor.
The establishment of a representative body will allow on a democratic basis to discuss and solve the problems of the capital, to eliminate corruption in management, according to REAL.
