Russian MPs on March in Memory of Victims of Khojaly Massacre

Baku / 26.02.19 / Turan: A large group of members of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and Russian experts took part in the nationwide procession in memory of the victims of the Khojaly massacre in Baku on February 26.

Among the participants of the march were: Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Irina Rodnina, member of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy Alexei Zhuravlev, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on State Building and Legislation Mikhail Yemelyanov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Family, Women and Children Oksana Pushkina, member of the Committee on Health Care Tatyana Tsybizova, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Security and Anti-corruption Dmitry Savelyev and MP Denis Parfenov.

In addition, Russian experts on the region Igor Korotchenko, Alexander Shatilov, Alexander Rusnak, Sergey Markov, Daria Grevtsova, Alexey Bychkov and others took part in the march.

On the eve, State Duma members and Russian experts also gave an interview to AzTV, referring to the theme of the Khojaly tragedy.

As the deputy of the Milli Majlis, Mikhail Zabelin, head of the Russian community of Azerbaijan, told Turan, the delegation of the Russian Federation took part in the Russian-Azerbaijani conference on the topics of building a common future, searching for a common past, and developing a common present on February 25.

According to Zabelin, since the conference was held on the eve of the 27th anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy, these events, the whole Karabakh conflict, and the need to liberate the occupied territories were also discussed at the conference. -06D--
