Following Ali Hasanov, Vugar Safarli Loses His Office
Baku / 04.04.20 / Turan: The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, on Saturday signed an order to dismiss Vugar Safarli from the post of Executive Director of the State Support Fund for Media Development under the President of the country. By another decree of the President, Ahmed Mammad Oglu Ismailov was appointed to this post.
Safarli was a close associate of Ali Hasanov, who was removed from the post of Presidential Aide for political affairs last fall.
The Fund’s activities have been criticized due to the non-transparency of the distribution of state aid allocated for the media, as well as apartments in two multi-storey buildings built for journalists at the expense of the state. –06D-
