So the official representative of the Kremlin objected to the words of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan about the joint monitoring center, RIA Novosti reports on Wednesday, November 11.
“There was no talk about joint peacekeeping forces, it was never discussed. The area of interaction will be on the territory of Azerbaijan. It won't be Karabakh. And we are talking about the monitoring center,” he said.
The day before, the Russian Foreign Ministry had already denied the participation of the Turkish military in the peacekeeping mission in Nagorno-Karabakh. Meanwhile, earlier, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that a joint peacekeeping mission of Russia and Turkey would work in Nagorno-Karabakh.
The Public Relations Department of the Office of the President of Turkey disseminated information about the telephone conversation between the Presidents of Turkey and Russia on November 10.
