Maps of Deployment of Russian Peacekeepers in Karabakh Published
Baku / 11.11.20 / Turan: The Russian Ministry of Defense provided RIA Novosti with maps of the deployment of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh.
The day before, the Russian military began to arrive in Armenia. Some of them have already gone to the destination area. Upon arrival, they will set up 16 observation posts along the line of contact and the Lachin corridor.
Chief of the Main Operations Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Army Sergei Rudskoy said the Russian military are equipped with armored personnel carriers and armored vehicles Tiger and Typhoon.
"In the area of the peacekeeping operation, military police units will also carry out the tasks. <...> They are responsible for patrolling along the line of contact, escorting convoys and cargo," he said.
"The General Staff has planned all the necessary measures to ensure the security of Russian servicemen. The personnel of the peacekeeping contingent understands the full responsibility of the tasks assigned to it and is ready to fulfill them in strict accordance with the agreements reached," he concluded. -0-
