Armenians Trying to Appropriate Zod Gold Mine in Kalbajar
Baku / 25.11.20 / Turan: Photos and videos of the "border closure" between Kalbajar and the Vardenis region of Armenia have been circulated on the Internet and in the Armenian media. At this point, the Armenian side installed metal gates on the road, painting them red. However, the specified place is located much further from the real state border between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
The Armenians deliberately moved it deep into the territory of the Kalbajar region of Azerbaijan in order to appropriate the Zod gold mine, through which the border between the republics passed since Soviet times.
Approximately 70% of the mine is located in Azerbaijan and attempts to move the border mean Armenia's violation of the trilateral agreement on November 9, which could lead to a renewal of the conflict.
Today, Azerbaijani troops entered Kalbajar and are moving to the state border; they will be in the Zod field in the near future. -02B-
