Girl killed in Georgia learned about illegal arms shipments to Karabakh, her parents say
Baku / 31.08.20 / Turan: The parents of a 23-year-old resident of Tbilisi, Tamar Bachaliashvili, who died under unclear circumstances, said that the death of their daughter was associated with the illegal international arms trade. Tamar Bachaliashvili, an IT specialist, left home in a private car on the morning of July 18 and disappeared. Her body was found on the fifth day in the back seat 65 kilometers from Tbilisi. The main version of the investigation is suicide. However, the girl's family absolutely disagrees and today held a protest in front of the General Prosecutor's Office of Georgia. They demand to re-qualify "incitement to suicide" for "premeditated murder."
In early August, the media reported that, shortly before her death, Tamar had decrypted secret files associated with three high-ranking Georgian officials. It was alleged that after that the girl began to receive threats. Over the past month, Bachaliashvili's parents demanded that the investigation give the names of these people, including by addressing Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia. Today, the girl's mother Teona Tamazashvili said that the three above-mentioned officials are engaged in the supply of weapons to the zone of the Karabakh conflict.
“I urge the authorities of Azerbaijan and Turkey to take an interest in this and demand from the Georgian government files related to these three high-ranking officials. My daughter accidentally opened them, decrypting the scheme of supplying the weapons of the Karabakh war, ”she said.
Thus, it is possible that the girl's death is connected with the recent scandal about the supply of weapons from Serbia through Georgia to Armenia. But it is possible that we are talking about a new fact of arms supplies to the Armenians through Georgia. -0-
