Moscow/11.01.21/Turan: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on Monday to participate in trilateral talks on Nagorno-Karabakh with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Moscow Polad Bulbul Oglu told TASS on Monday.

"The President of Azerbaijan arrived in Moscow and he was greeted by Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Andrei Rudenko, representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry and the Republic's Embassy in Moscow. At the moment, Aliyev's motorcade is heading to the Kremlin," he said.

Trilateral talks between Putin, Aliyev and Pashinyan will be held in Moscow on Monday at the initiative of the head of the Russian state. As reported by the Kremlin press service, the parties plan to consider the implementation of the statement of the leaders of the three countries on Nagorno-Karabakh dated November 9, 2020 and discuss further steps to resolve the region's problems.

Nikol Pashinyan also arrived in Moscow earlier. Early in the morning, Armenian oppositionists tried to prevent him from flying to Russia by blocking the road to the airport. However, police squads pushed back the protesters, detaining two dozen people. -02B-
