A member of Armenian sabotage group detained in the Lachin
Baku/08.06.21/Turan: On June 8, a reconnaissance-sabotage group of the Armenian armed forces taking advantage of unfavorable weather conditions intervened our territory in the Lachin region of the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border, says the press service of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence today.
As a result of the vigilance of the Azerbaijan Army Units stationed in this direction a member of the group, serviceman Artur Kartanyan was detained. Other members of the group retreated and left the area.
The infiltrator was detained in the area with the following coordinates: X8610021, Y4387428.
According to the preliminary investigation, the enemy reconnaissance-sabotage group’s mission was to mine our territories.
Currently, the information on the detained member of the group is being clarified. -0-

The State Security Service and other state agencies of Azerbaijan do not comment on Armenian media reports that the former "state minister" of Karabakh Ruben Vardanyan began a hunger strike in custody in Baku. This information was disseminated by Armenian sources without specifying the source. Allegedly, Vardanyan demands the release of all other leaders of the Karabakh separatists who are in jail.

On April 26, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will meet with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Berlin, the German Cabinet of Ministers, the official representative of Steffen Hebestreit told journalists on April 19. "Along with bilateral relations, issues of foreign policy, security policy, as well as economic and energy topics will be discussed," Hebestreit said.
