Russian airlines plan new flights to Ganja, Lankaran and Nakhchivan
Baku/26.01.22/Turan: Russian airlines plan to increase the number of flights to various cities of Azerbaijan, Russian Ambassador to Baku Mikhail Bocharnikov said at a press conference on Wednesday. In particular, 4 Russian airlines plan to open flights from Moscow, St. Petersburg and Makhachkala to Ganja, Lankaran and Nakhchivan. According to the ambassador, today nine Russian airlines operate over 50 flights a week between the cities of the two countries.
Work is also underway to open sea tourism in the Caspian. To this end, the Russian cruise liner is undergoing water tests. This is the first Russian cruise liner "Peter the Great" built in the Astrakhan region. The Ambassador expressed hope that this project will be launched this year.
Bocharnikov also pointed to overcoming the downturn in foreign trade caused by the pandemic in 2020. According to him, the volume of mutual Azerbaijani-Russian trade for the first 11 months of 2021 amounted to $2.9 billion. By the end of 2021, the parties can reach the level of $3 billion, which was in 2019.
At the same time, he pointed out that the volume of Russian investments in the Azerbaijani economy reaches $4.2 billion.—06B--

A new mass grave has been discovered in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, in the village of Malybeyli in the Khojaly region.
