People detained during the protest are released
Baku/20.07.22/Turan: Thirty people have been detained during today's action in Baku with the demand "Open land borders!", including its organizer, Tofig Yagublu, a member of the coordinating center of the National Council of Democratic Forces and the "Musavat" party.
Twenty three of those detained are members of the Popular Front Party, two of the Democracy and Welfare Party, one - of the NIDA movement, one - of the Musavat Party and two more are non-party activists, the PFPA reported.
By 15.00 all participants of the action were released without punishment. --06B--

The Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan has accused the European Parliament of employing double standards in its recent resolution, which urges the European Union to halt cooperation with Azerbaijan in the energy sector unless significant improvements in human rights and the release of political prisoners are observed. The resolution, adopted on April 25, points to intensified repression against civil society and independent media in Azerbaijan.
