Iran does not recognize the entry of Crimea and four regions into Russia - Abdollahian
Baku/19.01.23/Turan: Tehran does not recognize the inclusion of Crimea, as well as Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions into Russia, Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Abdollahian told the TRT World agency.
According to him, despite close relations with Russia, Iran recognizes the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the countries.
Earlier, a number of conservatives and journalists in Iran said they were against the supply of drones to Russia, claiming that Russia is the aggressor in Ukraine.
In particular, the editor of the newspaper Jomhouri-e-Islami, Masih Mohajeri, said that Tehran should "advise the side that unleashed the war to comply with international rules."
Russia has no right to use Iranian drones in Ukraine, he said. Mohajeri also insists that Iran publicly condemn the actions of the Russian authorities and offers to supply Iranian drones to Ukraine. --02D--
