Baku/20.09.23/Turan: "At the suggestion of the Administration of the President of Azerbaijan, a meeting with representatives of the Armenian residents of Karabakh will be held in Yevlakh on September 21, 2023 to discuss issues of reintegration on the basis of the Constitution and Laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan." This is stated in the press service of the head of state on September 20.

In turn, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan reported that "taking into account the appeal of representatives of the Armenian residents of Karabakh, received through the Russian peacekeeping contingent, an agreement was reached to suspend local anti-terrorist activities on September 20, 2023 at 13:00."

The anti-terrorist operation has been suspended under the following conditions:

"1. Formations of the Armenian armed forces located in the Karabakh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan and illegal Armenian armed formations lay down their weapons, abandon combat positions and military posts and completely disarm. Units of the Armenian armed forces are leaving the territory of Azerbaijan, illegal Armenian armed formations are being disbanded.

2. In parallel, all weapons and heavy equipment are surrendered.

3. The implementation of the above processes is ensured in coordination with the Russian peacekeeping contingent," the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reports.

At the same time, the "administration of the head of Nagorno-Karabakh" made the following message:

"1. With the mediation of the command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent stationed in Nagorno-Karabakh, an agreement has been reached on the complete cessation of hostilities from 13:00 on September 20, 2023.

2. An agreement has been reached on the withdrawal of the remaining units and servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia from the deployment zone of the Russian peacekeeping contingent and the disbandment and complete disarmament of the armed formations of the “Defense Army of Nagorno-Karabakh” and the withdrawal of heavy equipment and weapons from the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh in order to dispose of them as soon as possible.

3. The issues raised by the Azerbaijani side on the reintegration, ensuring the rights and security of the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as issues of ensuring the vital activity of the population of Nagorno-Karabakh within the framework of the Constitution of Azerbaijan, according to the agreement reached, will be discussed at a meeting between representatives of the local Armenian population and representatives of the central authorities of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which will be held in the city of Yevlakh on September 21, 2023 and during subsequent meetings." -02B-
